Telares Rug

The Telares rug was born out of a combination of techniques used in kilims and typical dhurries, where the pressure of the fibres create a unique range in textures. It is a process where the tension applied between weft and warp giving the rug an appearance full of variation.

The finished result of the rug initially required prototyping through trial and error to reach the desired texture. The Telares features a loose kilim of curved shapes, whereas traditional kilims are typically geometric.
