Designed as a solution to unmanaged waste, the Re-Rug is a series of dual-tone carpets made from surplus wool. Expertly crafted using a hand-loomed dhurrie technique, the rugs are made of a blend of dyed virgin wool for the warp and recycled yarn for the weft. The result is a high-quality, durable rug with a flat structure and unique marbled effect.

The distinctive pattern results from lengthy research on how the leftover wools could be rescued to create a new yarn appropriate for weaving. Instead of sorting through the various piles of unclassifiable fibres, Nanimarquina settled on utilising them as they are, discovering that the more they shredded and combined the coloured wools, the greyer the fibres became. The less they shredded the wools, the more tonal and spontaneous the outcome.

Available in three split colours: black and white, yellow and blue, red and teal. Also available in six single colour options.
