Contour chair by David Colwell

Produced from sheet acrylic formed at high temperature, this innovative design required no post-production finishing. The compound curves create an exceptionally strong seating membrane and the use of the material is thereby wholly functional.

A lightweight frame provides support whilst cradling the evocative outline. The Contour is in several museum collections including the V&A and Vitra Design Museum.
