Petit Confort LC3 by Le Corbusier, Perriand and Jeanneret.
The Petit Confort was a collaborative design by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret. Launched in 1928 as a modernist interpretation of the traditional club chair, the apparently simple concept of exposing the frame to contain the loose cushions and provide the chair structure was revolutionary. The chair was extended to the sofa, and larger scale Grand Confort completed the family.
The design is now considered a landmark in furniture design and achieved classic status when the range was relaunched by Cassina in 1965.
The sofa offered is a Cassina production with age-related patina
