LC9 stool, by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina.
The LC9 was designed in 1927 and is part of the Cassina LC collection by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. This timeless and sleek stool has an architectural feel and shows Charlotte Perriand’s passion for poetic harmony. Originally designed for her own dining room in Paris, the initial design incorporated tubular steel with a rattan seat.
In 1929, the design was showcased at the “Équipement intérieur d’une Habitation” exhibit at the Salon d’Automne in Paris. The table is now in production with Cassina and has a trivalent-chrome plated steel frame with a wide choice of seat materials.
