The Superloon floor light is inspired by the most elemental of lighting sources – the moon. A ring of LEDs set into the edge of a flat disc of translucent white PMMA generates a soft ambient light which may be adjusted in intensity and temperature as desired.

Jasper Morrison describes the evolution of his design: “A couple of years ago Piero Gandini showed me a new technology which consists of a ring of LEDs that send light sideways into the edge of a composite disc of translucent white material which, when lit, appears to be a flat white disc. Superloon is the answer to the question of what to do with this intriguing technology.“

The diffuser is held in a gyroscopic axis that allows the light source to be rotated through 360° for optimum flexibility.
