Aalto’s revolutionary ‘bent-knee’ provided a solution to a historical and practical problem of connecting the vertical and horizontal planes. The harmonious and appealing resolution was achieved through inserting thin laminates into slots cut into the solid birch leg. Aalto’s design allowed for a host of different table and chairs designs.

The table offered is a prewar example, with Finmar label.
